Walmart Enters Promotional Products Business
The world’s largest company by revenue is now a player in the promotional products industry.
Walmart PromoShop is an online destination where seemingly anyone from a buyer for a Fortune 500 company to a family keen for shirts for their reunion can purchase branded merchandise.
The site features imprintable T-shirts, sportswear, drinkware, bags, pens and writing instruments, health and wellness products, and more. Other categories include desk accessories, home/auto items, and technology products like earbuds, power banks, silicone phone wallets and USB chargers.
An online design tool allows shoppers to personalize/customize products with imagery and text.
“Adding your name or logo to a variety of promotional products is fast and easy,” the site states. “Choose the product, create or upload your design, enter your information, and get your custom promotional product delivered to your door.”
It wasn’t immediately clear when the site launched. An inquiry to Walmart was not immediately returned.
According to the Fortune Global 500 list in 2016, Walmart’s $480 billion in revenue makes it the largest company by revenue on the planet. The Arkansas-based multinational corporation is also the world’s largest employer, with 2.3 million employees.
