Principals at Gemini said the acquisition will expand the supplier’s product offering to the promotional products industry, as well as the related awards and recognition niche. Notably, the companies said, Gemini shares F&H’s commitment to manufacturing in the United States.

 

“We are excited to add F&H Ribbon to our portfolio of industry-leading products and services,” said Gemini President Scott Schaeffer in a statement. “For more than 55 years, F&H Ribbon has been synonymous with extremely high-quality customized ribbons and rosettes throughout the United States. We plan to continue investing in and building our combined company, and we are singularly focused on offering our customers, both new and old, the best products and services in the country.”

 

Going forward, F&H will operate under Gemini Industries’ ASI number and be known as “F&H Line, a division of Gemini Industries,” Crystal Duckett, marketing director at Gemini, told Counselor. F&H operations will be moving to Gemini’s facility, Duckett said. Rhea Ann Pope, president of F&H Ribbon, will not be joining Gemini, but said she is confident that F&H’s combining forces with the Illinois-based supplier will prove a winning move.

 

“I have known Gemini’s reputation for high-quality, made-in-the-USA promotional products for decades, and I could not ask for a better steward of our business,” Pope said. “Our companies complement each other, and I’m confident that all stakeholders will benefit – customers through a stronger and broader line of products, and vendors through increased investments to expand our product lines.”

 

In addition to customized award ribbons and rosettes, F&H designs and manufactures sashes, banners, celluloid buttons, certificates, folders and neck ribbons. Founded in Dallas in 1962, the company also carries full lines of medals, award pins and tiaras. Gemini, meanwhile, started in St. Louis, MO, in 1954. Now specializing in brandable items that include vinyl keytags, floating keytags, beverage insulators, air fresheners, magnets, yard signs and more, Gemini later relocated to Roxana to expand production and better serve customers.​
