Fire Tears Through Cooler Graphics’ Production Facility
A fire destroyed the production facility at Channelview, TX-based Cooler Graphics (asi/80345) on Sunday night.
Nonetheless, a note on the supplier’s website said that inventory was saved.
What’s more, Cooler Graphics says it has arranged for production to continue with sub-contractor partners while operations are restored over the next 30 to 60 days.
“A fire destroyed our production facility but not our spirit!” read the note at coolergraphics.com. “Please help us build again by keeping your business with us. Thank you and we appreciate your prayers and loyalty.”
In the wake of the fire, promotional products professionals were rallying around Cooler Graphics, expressing an outpouring of support on social media channels.
On ASI’s Facebook page, for example, Shelly Toups of Artistic Embroidery/Corporate Worxs (asi/603496) commented, “This is horrible. Prayers go out to this amazing company.” Commenter Gloria Richardson expressed similar sentiments. “Prayers to them all. They are a wonderful company to work with.”
A news report on chron.com said that the two-alarm fire drew dozens of firefighters. They shut down the road for hours to battle the blaze.
The fire reportedly broke out shortly before 11:45 p.m. No one was in the building at the time, according to Chron, and no injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear.
In the difficult aftermath, Cooler Graphics was not immediately available for further comment.
Cooler Graphics was established in January 2001 with the introduction of the patented Slap Wrap n Go beverage insulator. Currently, the company offers a full line of beverage insulators, as well as other items, including counter mats, desk mats and mouse pads.
