Square toe shoes with suits. “The objective when wearing a suit is to create a clean and long silhouette, which should extend all the way to the toes,” says Singleton.

Visible Undershirts. When the ribbed rim of a scoop neck undershirt pokes out the top of an unbuttoned collared shirt, you look messy and unprofessional.

Mismatched belt and shoes. “It’s a detail you have to pay attention to,” says Tsai.
