Yo, you think it’s tough to park in Philly on a normal day? Just wait until it snows. That’s when things get really "strange."

The Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) is trying to combat what it’s calling the illegal and dangerous practice of using random objects – like cones, lawn chairs, trash cans and yes, even toilets – to save shoveled-out spots along residential streets. According to them, these objects could incite animosity between neighbors and oftentimes lead to parking-spot punch-ups. With their #NoSavesies campaign, Philly’s finest are trying everything they can to promote a “shovel and share” approach, even using social media to get the message out.

In its latest effort, the PPD channels the wildly popular Netflix show “Stranger Things” for a video that’s both strange and wonderful. If you’re a fan of the show, then you’ll love “Savesie Things” – just watch:

The response to this video, as with any of the PPD’s campaigns aimed at combatting the perpetual savesies problem, has been mixed, with many people arguing that if they took the time to shovel out a spot, then that spot is theirs. Read some of the Facebook comments here:
