BDA Adds Roy to Leadership Team
Top 40 distributor BDA (asi/137616) has hired former Accolade Reaction and BrandAlliance (asi/145177) exec Marc Roy to serve as its divisional VP of client integration and new ventures. Roy, who has two decades of experience as a chief executive, left his most recent post as executive chairman of Top 40 firm A Brand Company in January “to pursue other interests.”
“Over the years, I’ve worked with some great people in the industry who are now a part of BDA. Joining the BDA family feels like the natural next step for me,” said Roy. “My first priority is to contribute to BDA’s evolving growth strategy surrounding its recent acquisitions in London, Manchester and Paris. I’ve been given great clay to work with and look forward to propelling the company forward into new markets.”
The addition of Roy continues a string of high-profile announcements at Seattle-based BDA. The firm acquired distributor SwervePoint (asi/340679) in July and U.K. companies Dukes of London and SMG over the last month. The company also recently hired Matt Chavlovich, the former VP of licensing and consumer products for Major League Soccer.
“Marc’s incredible breadth of industry experience and knack for building high-performing, customer-focused teams make him an essential part of BDA’s leadership,” said Jay Deutsch, CEO and co-founder of BDA. “He’s someone who has left a strong, positive impact on the industry and will continue to do so from within BDA. I look forward to seeing the results of his influence as we focus on growth, both domestically and internationally, with special focus on Canadian, U.K. and EMEA markets.”
Roy had served as executive chairman of Top 40 firm A Brand Company from the summer of 2015 until early this year. Previously, Roy was CEO of BrandAlliance and Accolade.
