The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an official recall for Easter- and Fourth of July-themed light-up spinners sold by Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. of Oklahoma City, OK. The battery cover can detach on the China-made toys, exposing the three LR44 coin cell batteries and presenting a choking hazard. Hobby Lobby has received one report of a small child ingesting a battery.

The Easter-themed spinners were sold in blue with a pink bunny on the light-up dome, as well as in yellow with an orange chicken. The Fourth of July-themed toys are red with blue domes and white stars. “Hobby Lobby” and item numbers 9130033 or 9130082 are printed on the handles. About 43,400 spinners were sold at Hobby Lobby and Mardel stores between February and April 2017 for about $5. No ASI-listed companies were named in the recall.

The CPSC is asking consumers to return the toys immediately to any Hobby Lobby or Mardel store for a full refund. Customers without a receipt will receive store credit.
