Incentives International Makes Acquisition

Kansas-based Incentives International Inc. (asi/230802) has acquired another Sunflower State distributor -- Midwest Premiums and Promotions (formerly asi/270850). Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Ted Fuehr, president of Incentives International, said Midwest forms a perfect complement to Incentive International, allowing for expanded offerings and service to be provided to clients of both companies.

“The acquisition creates a unique entity by combining the premium and incentive product and promotional products expertise of both groups,” said Fuehr, adding that he is excited to connect customers with a wider range of promotional products, incentive programs, graphic solutions and digital marketing resources, including online marketing and mobile apps. “We strive to provide our clients with one source with access to an infinite number of resources that streamline business.”

Going forward, the companies will operate as one under Incentives International’s ASI number. Stephen Dudley, former owner of Midwest, will join Incentives International, where he is expected to play an active role in helping to drive the company’s direction along with Fuehr. Dudley’s sales team of independent contractors is expected to make the transition, too. “We’ve already received a number of orders from them,” said Fuehr.

Last year, sales at Incentives International climbed 9% -- a rise that Fuehr said accelerated following the November presidential election. “We’ve seen a lot of optimism among clients,” he said.

Based in Overland Park, KS, Incentives International Inc. is a 33-year-old company that serves Fortune 1000 clients, as well as many privately held corporations nationwide. In addition to promotional products, incentive programs and premium goods, the distributorship has extensive knowledge and capability in international manufacturing.
