Roy Exits A Brand Company
Top 40 distributor A Brand Company has announced that executive chairman Marc Roy is no longer with the firm and will pursue other professional and personal interests. Until the firm hires a replacement to serve in Roy’s position, CEO Fred Parker will assume a day-to-day sales leadership role and outside director Ken Bramlett has been appointed as temporary lead director of A Brand Company’s board of directors.
“A Brand Company has precautionary stopgap measures in place to address a leadership vacancy,” said Parker in a statement. “From our standpoint, it will continue to be business as usual here as we move to find a new executive chairperson.”
A company spokesperson would not comment specifically on the circumstances surrounding Roy’s departure. A Brand Company said Roy officially left the firm on January 30. Roy had served as executive chairman of A Brand Company since the summer of 2015, following the completion of a merger with BrandAlliance (asi/141964, asi/145177). Previously, Roy was CEO of BrandAlliance and Accolade Reaction.
Counselor ranks A Brand Company, whose affiliates include BrandAlliance, Grapevine Designs (asi/212829) and PerformanceLink, as the 19th largest distributor in the industry, after the firm reported 2015 North American promo product sales of $89.4 million.
