Michigan-based Fabri-Tech, in conjunction with the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has recalled 6,500 infant rompers. Officials say buttons on the shoulder straps can detach, posing a choking hazard to children. The rompers were manufactured in China and sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores from April 2017 through July 2017 for about $20 apiece. No ASI-listed firms were named in the recall.

The red and white-checkered rompers were sold in boys’ sizes 6-9m, 12m and 18m. The clothing also has a toolbox design on the front and two buttons at the top of the straps that button over the shoulders. The size, “decorated originals for kids” logo and “PO# 906512 PD 12/8/16” are printed on a label on the neck. Fabri-Tech has received one report of an infant putting a detached button in his mouth, but no injuries have been reported.

Officials are asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled rompers and return them to any Cracker Barrel store for a full refund. Consumers can also contact Fabri-Tech directly to receive a prepaid shipping label for returning the recalled romper for a full refund.
