Top-Notch Online Design Tools

Designing custom apparel and imprints has never been easier now that online tools for collaboration and approval are on the market and improving constantly. Here are three online tools to consider:

1. InkSoft introduces Design Invite, a new software feature that allows users to e-mail customers and prospects invitations that enable them to take part in the design process. This easy-to-use tool provides a unique way of engaging customers by involving them in the creation of graphics from their own desktop using the InkSoft Design Studio, while at the same time facilitating communication and differentiating printers from the competition.

2. Cadworxlive, a Web-based graphic design service for garment decorators and sign makers with tools for design, production and promotion, is undergoing a complete makeover. New features include a mode-based designer that will work with the Roland VersaCAMM and the Epson SureColor F2000 direct-to garment printer. Also new is an improved VectorCut 2.0 cut driver. This online designer has premium artwork created by well-known artist Dane Clement of Great Dane Graphics. It also includes a unique process for creating split-front designs. It can be used to create artwork for digital cutters, digital transfers, printer/cutters, screen printing, direct-to-garment printers and appliqué when used in conjunction with Twill Stitch Pro or Ioline 301 software.

3. Transfer Express (asi/91804) debuted an updated, more user-friendly version of its Easy View online designer. A how-to video gives users a complete tour of the new features and how to use it to create full-color, professional-looking custom designs in minutes. “Designing T-Shirts For Free” will show how Easy View gives users more creative freedom. You’ll learn how to choose from graphics, layouts, type and colors to create custom designs that clients can preview or you can invite them to create designs along with you.
